More info about this theatre

In 2015, The Aquarius Theatre underwent a remodeling. Both auditoriums were completely renovated, and feature larger screens, new lighting, and luxury leather seating, including recliners in one auditorium. Other improvements include a renovated marquee, all new lobby and concessions stand, new restrooms and ticket kiosks. The expanded concessions menu features hot offerings like sweet potato fries, delicious and served hot 8" Pepperoni Pizza and Eisenberg Hot Dogs.

Additionally, the Aquarius features Hearing Loop, an assistive listening system for the hearing impaired that wirelessly sends pure sound to hearing aids that have the 'telecoil,' eliminating background noise and the need for a headset.

Built in 1969, and operated by Landmark since 1985, the Aquarius Theatre features the finest in independent and foreign language cinema. Cinematographer Haskell Wexler and Francis Ford Coppola's feature film debuts were among the first films shown at the theatre. Located within a short distance from Stanford University in the heart of Downtown Palo Alto, the Aquarius has the benefit of being situated in and around some of the best dining, shopping and recreation areas in downtown Palo Alto.

NOW SERVING BEER AND WINE! The Aquarius Theatre now offers beer and wine from the concession stand. Enjoy a cold beer or sip on a glass of red or white wine while watching your film. Be sure to ask your concessions attendant about our beer and wine offerings!

PARKING: Available in public lots adjacent to and opposite the theatre on Emerson Street or on surrounding neighborhood streets.
