More info about this theatre

8 Screens 2K and 4K Digital Projection and Sound. Opened January 9, 2004. The E Street Cinema is an eight-screen luxury movie theatre specializing in first-run independent and foreign language films, documentary features and classic revivals. In addition to high quality programming, the theatre is committed to state-of-the art film presentation. It features large screens with excellent, clear sightlines, stadium seating in the larger houses, Dolby Digital sound, amenities including upscale concessions and an espresso bar, and 3 hours of reduced rate parking within the building’s garage (with validation), Monday through Friday after 5:00pm and anytime on weekends. Designed by Brooks Graham, interior designer with the Graham Little Studio, and designer of many Landmark theatres including the Bethesda Row Cinema in Bethesda, MD, the E Street Cinema is an aesthetically unique and appealing destination for downtown film buffs. The E Street Cinema is located in the Lincoln Square Building (555 11th Street, NW), with its entrance on E Street between 10th and 11th Street. Located one block from Metro Center Station and four blocks from the Gallery Place/Chinatown Station, it is the District’s most Metro-accessible movie theatre, within easy walking distance from all six Metro lines.

PARKING: Three hours of reduced rate parking ($12.00) is available at the adjacent garage (entrance on 11th Street between "E" & "F" Streets) when you validate your parking ticket at the box office. Validation is honored when you enter after 5:00 PM Monday through Friday and anytime on weekends and holidays. Parkers who exceed the 3 hour limit or enter before 5:00 PM on weekdays will be charged the garage’s posted flat rate, now $24.00.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: 100% metro accessible from the Silver, Blue, Green, Orange, Red and Yellow lines at the Metro Center and/or Gallery Place/Chinatown metro stops!
