From the producers of the Academy Award-nominated Persepolis and the mind of renowned graphic novelist Jacques Tardi comes a wildly imaginative sci-fi adventure set in an alternate steampunk universe. The setting is Paris in 1941, graced by twin Eiffel Towers, where technical progress has been stunted by the systematic disappearance of all the best scientists. April’s scientist parents were on the brink of discovering a powerful longevity serum when they were mysteriously abducted. Ten years later, April (voiced by Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard in this original French language version) lives alone with her beloved cat, Darwin (endowed with powers of speech thanks to one of her parents’ failed experiments), carrying on her family’s research in secret. She finds herself on the run from government agents, bicycle-powered dirigibles and cyborg rat spies, while she pursues her undaunted search for her parents. (Fully subtitled)
