It features an eclectic mix of Hollywood favorites, foreign language cinema and independent film. It is located just one block from the Downtown Berkeley BART station, convenient to the entire Bay Area, including San Francisco, only 12 miles away.
In 2009, the Shattuck Cinemas completed a comprehensive remodel, with new spacious and luxurious theatre seating in all auditoriums, new lighting design, carpets and decor. Upgrades in the lobby and concession area were included in the extensive makeover. In 2017, Landmark’s exclusive Screening Lounges were transformed once again with the addition of luxury recliners.
The final element of the revitalized Shattuck Cinemas is the addition of LOT 68, a stylish bar and café adjacent to the lobby. LOT 68 guests are invited to relax with food and cocktails before, during or after a movie, and stop by anytime to watch the Cal game or meet friends. ***LOT 68 LOUNGE IS CURRENTLY CLOSED.***
The Shattuck Cinemas is truly the area’s premier cinema complex, and an East Bay entertainment destination. The venue is part of Downtown Berkeley, and the vibrant center of the city, with a growing arts district at its core — a mecca for movie-goers, art-lovers and food-connoisseurs.
