Peter (Jesse Wakeman) left his working class Rhode Island town to reinvent himself as a slick Wall Street mover and shaker. Fifteen years later, having reluctantly returned to his snowy hometown to bury his grandmother, he finds himself stranded when he loses his wallet. The only person he can think of to help him out is his former best friend Donald (writer/director Kris Avedisian)—the last person he’d ever want to see again. A shaggy weirdo with a toothy grin, Donald greets Peter warmly, with over-enthusiastic hugs. He hasn't changed a bit, and what starts as a simple favor turns into a long van ride into the shared teenage glories of their past. Avedisian’s debut feature is a raunchy comedy of discomfort—funny and insightful—about the dangerous consequences of avoiding the past and coming home. Winner of the Audience Award for American Independents at the 2016 AFI Film Festival.
