Buenos Aires, 1971. Carlitos (Lorenzo Ferro) is an angelic-looking seventeen-year-old with movie star swagger, blond curls and a baby face, who discovers his true calling as a thief. What he likes, he takes. When he meets the handsome, slightly older Ramón (Chino Darín) at his new school, Carlitos is immediately attracted to him and starts showing off to get his attention. Ramón’s criminal family sets up a few jobs for them, and Carlitos and Ramon embark on a journey of discovery, love and crime, which randomly escalates to murder. Newcomer Lorenzo Ferro oozes sizzling charisma in an unforgettable performance, making Carlitos appealing despite his appalling crimes. As the stakes get higher, sexual tension simmers between the two men, making for an erotic, violent and suspenseful saga. First-time director and co-writer Luis Ortega handles the mesmerizing story, based on a famous true crime case, with talent and style. Co-produced by Pedro Almodovar. Argentina's Official Selection for Best Foreign Language Film consideration at the 91st Academy Awards. (Fully subtitled)
