Landmark Theatres has opened LOT 68, a stylish bar and café adjacent to the newly remodeled Shattuck Cinemas. LOT 68 will allow guests to relax with food and cocktails prior to or after a movie as well as serve patrons who just want to stop by and watch the Cal game. During specially designated times, guests will be able to bring their drink, glass of wine, or bottle of beer inside the auditorium to enjoy during the movie.

The bar is named Lot 68 in tribute to Berkeley’s rich history, as lot 68 was the parcel of land purchased in 1860 by Berkeley’s founder, Francis Kittredge Shattuck, to serve as his homestead, and is the present day block where the Shattuck Cinemas is located at the corner of Shattuck Avenue and Kittredge Street.
