at 7pm: FRUITVALE STATION won both the grand jury prize and the audience award at this year's Sundance Film Festival. This powerful drama recounts the true story of a Bay Area young man's fateful confrontation with the police at a BART station in Oakland on New Year's Eve. Michael B. Jordan, Melonie Diaz, and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer star for writer-director Ryan Coogler. Guest speaker: producer Nina Yang Bongiovi.

Monday, July 8 at 7pm: STILL MINE. Oscar nominees James Cromwell and Geneviève Bujold star in this affecting love story, laced with humor, about an elderly farmer who fights Canadian bureaucracy when he decides to build a new house for his ailing wife. Guest speaker: actress Geneviève Bujold, whose many earlier films include King of Hearts, Anne of the Thousand Days, The Trojan Women, Coma, Choose Me, and Dead Ringers.

Monday, July 15 at 7pm: BLACKFISH. This eye-opening, thought-provoking documentary examines the mistreatment of orca "killer whales" at sea parks around the world, which has led to some savage attacks on trainers and other workers at these parks. Guest speakers: director Gabriela Cowperthwaite and Sea World trainer Samantha Berg, who is interviewed in the film.

Monday, July 22 at 7pm: THE SPECTACULAR NOW. This sharp coming-of-age story focuses on a popular high school kingpin whose life changes when he meets a more introverted girl who challenges all of his assumptions. Two of our finest young actors—Shailene Woodley (who played George Clooney's older daughter in The Descendants) and Miles Teller (who co-starred with Nicole Kidman in Rabbit Hole) shared the top acting award at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Guest speaker: director James Ponsoldt.

Monday, July 29 at 7pm: THE ARTIST AND THE MODEL. Oscar-winning Spanish director Fernando Trueba (Belle Epoque, Chico and Rita) tells the story of an aging sculptor living in occupied France during the Second World War. Veteran French actor Jean Rochefort, Italian legend Claudia Cardinale, and young Spanish actress Aida Folch star in this international co-production. Guest speakers: Gary Rubin, executive vice president of Cohen Media Group, and Elvi Cano, producer of the Recent Spanish Cinema series in Los Angeles.

Monday, August 5 at 7pm: THE FROZEN GROUND is a gripping suspense thriller based on the true story of the hunt for a serial killer in Anchorage, Alaska. Oscar winner Nicolas Cage stars as Alaska State Trooper Jack Halcombe, and John Cusack, cast against type, plays his nemesis. Guest speaker: writer/director Scott Walker.

Monday, August 12 at 7pm: JOBS follows the history of Steve Jobs from his days as a college dropout to his emergence as visionary tycoon for the plugged-in generation. Ashton Kutcher stars as Jobs, and the supporting cast includes Josh Gad, J.K. Simmons, Dermot Mulroney, James Woods, and Lesley Ann Warren. Guest speaker: director Joshua Michael Stern.

Monday, August 19 at 7pm: YOU WILL BE MY SON, one of the strongest foreign films of the year, is an intense story of father-son conflict set in the wine country of France. Niels Arestrup, Loran Deutsch, and Nicolas Bridet star for director Gilles Legrand. Guest speaker: Charles Cohen, CEO of Cohen Media Group.

Monday, August 26 at 7pm: AFTERNOON DELIGHT is a provocative sexual drama about a dissatisfied suburban housewife whose life changes when she meets a young stripper and takes her under wing. Kathryn Hahn (Parks and Recreation, How Do You Know), Juno Temple (Killer Joe, The Dark Knight Rises), Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother), and Jane Lynch (Glee, Julie & Julia) star. Guest speaker: writer-director Jill Soloway, who won the best director award at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
